The International Dominican Commission for Justice & Peace (IDCJP) met in Geneva and Estavayer-le-Lac in Switzerland September 28 – October 3, 2017. Duncan MacLaren, a Lay Dominican of Scotland, is a member of this commission.
The 10th Assembly gathered together in Fatima has elected a new council. The members for the next four years are Maro Botica, Felix Hoffmann, Damien McDonnnell, Ludovic Namurois, Vilija Šemetienė. As European member of the International Council (from 2019) the delegates elected Gabriel Silva.
The 10th Assembly gathered together in Fatima has ended. In the chapel with a small ceremony, together with the Sisters, the Dominican Volunteers and representatives of IDYM, the European Lay Dominicans celebrated the handover to the new European Council.
